Balloon angioplasty is a minimally invasive method to expand narrowed arteries from inside the vessel. Like bypass surgery they are widely used for standard procedures to treat coronary disease. This procedure aims to provide a sufficient supply of oxygen to heart or the body. A physician performs this procedure in a catheterization laboratory under local anaesthesia. Bypass surgery is an open surgery method performed under general anesthesia.

Thanks and Regards.
